How to set up a recurring bill payment


Bluebonnet’s improved recurring payment option is the most convenient way for you to pay your electric bill on time, every month. Forget the worry of remembering when your bill is due. Save yourself the time it takes to write a check or submit a payment every month, and the cost of postage.


When you enroll in our recurring payment program online or via our mobile app, your payment is automatically drafted from your bank account or charged to a credit card. An email is sent each month letting you know how much your bill is and the date your payment will be drafted, so you will always know exactly what to expect. Participation is free. You can cancel your enrollment at any time. 

To enroll in recurring payments, please pay any outstanding balance first. You'll also need your preferred payment method details:
  • Bank account and routing numbers
  • Credit/debit card number, expiration date and CVV security code (the 3-digit code on the back of most cards or the 4-digit code on the front of American Express cards). We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
 
GET STARTED
 
LOG IN  
Log in to your Bluebonnet online account or mobile app. If you have more than one account, select the correct account number from the drop-down menu. 
 
GO TO RECURRING PAYMENTS
Online, click on the "Not Enrolled" at the top of your dashboard. On the app, click on the "Payments" tab, then "Recurring Payments."
 
ENROLL 
Click the blue “Enroll in Recurring” button. 



 
SIGN UP

STEP 1: ENTER RECURRING PAYMENT METHOD DETAILS
Choose how you would like to pay your bill. You can select an existing saved payment method, or enter your bank account or debit/credit card payment information. Give your new payment method a nickname and click “Continue.”

STEP 2: CONFIRM RECURRING PAYMENT METHOD INFORMATION 
Confirm your payment information. 
  • For eChecks, click the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions, then click “Continue.”
  • For credit/debit card, enter the security code (CVV) and click “Continue.” 

You will receive a confirmation email upon enrollment.
