Two area students to represent Bluebonnet in Washington, D.C.

Two area high school students will represent Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative during a tour of Washington, D.C., and a visit to the U.S. Capitol to meet members of Congress. Isabella Stasulli, a Bastrop High School senior, and Olivia Weiss, a Brenham High School junior, will join more than 1,500 students from across the country, about 125 from Texas, for the Government-in-Action Youth Tour, which is sponsored by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.

Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative members in southwest Burleson County will experience a temporary power outage Tuesday, March 31, as crews complete an upgrade to electric distribution lines. The upgrade will increase the voltage carried through the power lines and is needed to continue to reliably serve a growing number of homes and businesses in the area.
