Bluebonnet’s improved mobile app makes everything a little easier

Bluebonnet has released a new, improved version of its mobile app that is easier to navigate and matches the sleek look and feel of the co-op’s website, bluebonnet.coop. 
 
The updated app offers virtually all of the account features found on the website. It provides residential and commercial members fast, simple access to useful tools that let them monitor and manage their energy use from just about everywhere on their mobile phone or tablet. 
 
“This new version of our mobile app really makes it easier for members to pay bills, monitor energy costs, manage accounts and report outages,” said Daniel Fowler, Bluebonnet’s technology program manager. “The app’s new design gives members a consistent digital experience, whether they’re viewing their accounts via our mobile app or our website on a smartphone, tablet or computer.” 
 
Just like on bluebonnet.coop, when members log in to their accounts on the mobile app, they will see their most current billing information, the Energy Tracker that lets them monitor their power use and costs down to the hour, and the environmental impact of their electric usage. 
 
If you just want to report an outage, do that right from the dashboard screen. 
 
From the app, you can call Bluebonnet about a power outage or report it through your online account. The outage viewer is also available, showing the status of outages throughout the service area. 
 
Simple navigation at the bottom of the app screen for iPhones and top for Androids makes paying a bill, seeing current billing details and billing and payment history fast and easy. A member can also set up energy use and cost and outage alerts. Updating account information is available under the Preferences icon. 
 
If you are one of the more than 13,500 members currently using Bluebonnet’s mobile app, open it and you will see a bright red bar telling you to update the app, either in the iPhone/iPad App Store or Google Play for Android smartphones and tablets. (The new version will not automatically update). Bluebonnet first launched its mobile app in 2012. 
 
If you have never used the Bluebonnet mobile app, it’s easy to start. Search for Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative in the App Store or Google Play and download it for free. With the app, you can take care of your Bluebonnet business anytime, anyplace – when it’s convenient for you.
