Bluebonnet's Net Energy Market

Hourly Reads Now Available

Bluebonnet's Net Energy Market now offers even more information about your electricity use. In addition to tracking the amount of power you consume each day, you can find out how much you use each hour and how much it costs.

The new information, updated every morning, is available round the clock on Bluebonnet’s home page, www.bluebonnetelectric.coop.

Log on and compare how much it costs to run your heating and air conditioning system when you are at work (and the thermostat is set at 83 degrees) to when you are home (and thermostat is set at 78). With this information you can see how a small change in your thermostat can reduce your monthly bills, allowing you to better control, analyze and predict your energy use.

Here’s how to get started:

At www.bluebonnetelectric.coop, log into your Net Energy Market account. If you do not have an account, go to “myAccount” at the upper right corner of the screen, click “sign up” and create a private password.

Once you have logged in, select either the “Cost to Date” details button, which shows dollar amounts, or the “Energy Usage” details button, which shows kilowatt hour totals.

You have two options to retrieve your hourly consumption and cost data.

  • Select the “1d” tab (one day tab) located in the upper right-hand portion of the details section. Then scroll over any hourly increment and see the cost or energy use for that interval. A green pop-up box will appear over the hour you highlighted.
  • You also can find the information through the “1bp” (one billing period) detail. Scroll over each day and the pointer will turn into the hand icon. You can now drill down into any day to see the hourly reads for that period by double-clicking on the day that you want to view.
