Energy Audit

The purpose of conducting an energy audit is to analyze your home to determine its energy usage and costs, and ultimately to identify specific economically feasible energy efficiency measures that you could use to reduce the amount of your monthly utility bill. An audit will, among many things, identify air leaks and drafts, and determine whether you have the correct amount of insulation in your attic. The ultimate goal is to identify areas within and around your home that could be fixed or upgraded to make your entire living space more energy efficient, which will no doubt result in a noticeable drop in the amount of your bill.

Before using the site below to audit your home, please have the following information ready and available:

The year your home was built, the total size of your home's conditioned floor area, the type of foundation it is built on, the current amount of attic floor or roof insulation, and a copy of your last Bluebonnet electric bill (for our most current electric rates please see our tariff).
